Is this the right subject for me?
Are you creative and dynamic? Are you good at working to deadlines and like a challenge? Do you enjoy creating your own artwork and experimenting with a variety of media and techniques? If so then Photography could be for you!!
What do I need to know, or be able to do, before taking this course?
It is advisable but not essential to have a digital camera (compact or SLR) or smart phone with a minimum of 8 megapixels to participate in this course. This will be required for every lesson and for tasks set as homework.
What will I learn?
This is a photographic digital course where students will be introduced to a variety of experiences exploring and producing practical and critical/contextual work in one or more area(s). Work will include theme-based photography (portrait, landscape, movement, natural forms, micro-macro etc) based upon research into photographers relevant to the theme. Students will produce their own photos in response to their written research. Work will be produced using digital cameras and presented as a portfolio of work in sketchbooks.
