The Parent Teacher Association would like to welcome all students and their parents into the Chatsmore community.
The current PTA is a mixed bunch of mums and dads with children at different stages in the school. We meet once every half term for one hour, normally on a Tuesday at 7pm. We would dearly love to welcome new parents onto the PTA to join an already proactive group. As students reach year 11 and move on to pastures new, unfortunately so do parent committee members so we are always grateful for new parents. We all have something to offer Chatsmore, whether you are an ideas person, an organiser or great at serving up teas, your help and support is invaluable.
Our fundraising does have a real impact on the school lives of our children. With the help of our fundraising efforts, the school has benefited from new tennis courts, student lockers, sports equipment, outdoor bench seating, a laser cutter, new goal posts and make-up for the drama department. We are also the main sponsors for the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme operated in school, enabling them to buy key equipment, ensuring all students have the opportunity to participate.
We fundraise in different ways through raffles and events such as Quiz Nights and our Murder Mystery Night. We also sell second hand uniform, which is available through the school office.
If you would like to find out more about the PTA or are interested in joining please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
